The top fundraising team during the campaign earns the We Fight For Team Championship.

The name of the award was chosen by the inaugural winners to represent the mission to fight for all against all cancers and as an homage to the iconic I Fight For Signs that hang at the rinks at hockey fights cancer games all the way through the NHL.

The award was renamed the Jessi Pierce We Fight For award on September 28, 2026 to honor Jessi’s impact on our organization. Jessi served on the MN Hockey Fights Cancer Board of Directors from 2020–2023, bringing her heart, passion, and love for the hockey community to our mission.

In 2020, Jessi interviewed John Gegen and his mom to talk about the John Gegen Cup. It will always be a special memory of both of them.
