The Michael Weiss Fight Championship is awarded to the top fundraising high school for funds raised from October through the end of the High School Hockey season.

On November 18, 2020, Michael posted the following message to his Twitter feed, “Reaction when your doctor tells you that your scan is cancer free! #miracleonweiss #puckcancer @MNHockeyFights“

This video provided inspiration in a difficult 2020-2021 season and a timely reminder of why we do what we do. Michael’s Twitter profile states that he is a husband, dad, teacher, hockey coach, and cancer survivor. He should add inspiration to that list.

It is our hope that one day the Minnesota Hockey Fights Cancer Michael Weiss Championship banner will be just as prized as any state championship banner.
